How Your Money Will Be Used

Your contribution will fund projects that support research and conservation of the Big Island 's coral reef ecosystem, such as:

Maintaining and restoring coastal areas.

Supporting community involvement in marine management.

Stopping the spread of alien algae that smother and kill coral reefs.

Safeguarding seabird rookeries, turtle nesting beaches, and beaches where endangered monk seals haul out.

Setting up and maintaining environmentally sensitive anchoring and mooring buoy systems.

Supporting research and conservation efforts for whales, dolphins and other marine mammals.

Raising awareness about the importance of marine management .

Enhancing the coastal marine habitat.
